There are no chips, nicks, cracks, rubbings, scratches or hairlines. There are no utensil marks or wear to the gold. DIMENSIONS: The pedestal has a bottom diameter of 6" and the top of the tray has a diameter of 10 5/8" with a height of 2 1/2 to the top.
HISTORY/MARKS: Back in 1751, Dr. John Wall, a surgeon, William Davis, an apothecary, and a group of 13 local businessmen established a porcelain factory. In Worcester in 1756 Robert Hancock was the first man to apply transferring of prints onto porcelain. By 1789 the quality of Worcester Porcelain earned the company the prestigious "Royal Warrant" as Manufacturers to their Majesties after a visit from George III; thus the word "Royal" was added to the name.After centuries in the porcelain business, surviving wars and depressions, Royal Worcester experienced a number of ownership changes after the 1980's. The final result being the cessation of business and the sale of the trade names and intellectual property in 2009 to Portmeirion Potteries plc. The letter "o" under the mark.
