10 1/4 Square Cake Dish/ Fruit Bowl. It is one of the first made in 1924 by Fostoria and given as a gift in 1924. Condition is perfect, no scratches, cracks or chips.

Stored in a China hutch for over 80 years. Stunning large square pedestal cake plate with center rum well in the center. It is distinguished from the later prodructions by the large center hole, frequently referred to as a "rum well", and importantly, the top and bottom were joined with molten glass.

The geometric cube pattern, also known as "Early American", is an enduring favorite for its elegant iconic design. The glass is sparkling and smooth as a result of Fostoria's known attention to fire polishing the mold marks from its glassware. This piece has an added 1 3/8 wide decorative geometric band around the rim.
