Brownfield's factory was one of the largest of the Staffordshire potteries in the mid-1800s, but went out of business by the end of the century. So I can't date these tazastazzas precisely, but they date to sometime between 1837, when Brownfield's factory began operating and 1891 when it closed shop for good. Each cake plate is 9 3/8 inches in diameter. They stand 2 inches tall.
They are in very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Expect to see a few scratches and a little light wear. They have a lovely glossy finish. These cake plates were among the most breathtaking of the items in a home filled with many beautiful things.
